K-9 6 Officer Brian Schopf and "K-9 Shadow"
CA after being imported from the Netherlands.  He was a KNPV (Dutch Police) competition dog, and
received his title "Politiehond 1" in  Holland.  Officer Schopf and Shadow began working together in
September of 2007.  Shadow learned his patrol duties very quickly, and certified through P.O.S.T.
(California Peace Officers Standards and Training).  In March of 2008, Shadow completed his training in
narcotic detection and certified through C.N.C.A. (California Narcotics Canine Association) and P.O.S.T.

When Shadow is not at work, he likes to play ball and go running.  He shares the yard with Zantos, and
the two take turns stealing toys from each other.
